What are manifold insulators and what do they do? Manifold insulators are a thermal insulating spacer that mounts between your upper and lower intake manifold. Made from a heat blocking composite, our manifold insulators will increase power from your engine by keeping the intake cooler, and increase low end torque by increasing runner length.
But how do manifold insulators keep the intake manifold cooler? Given our manifold insulators are made from a composite material with a thermal conductivity of 0.29 W/m*K as opposed to aluminium, which has a thermal conductivity of 150 W/m*K; The difference works out to be that aluminum conducts heat 500 times higher then our composite material! Also, with gaskets often made out of steel (20 W/m*K thermal conductivity), placed between the upper and lower manifolds, replacing a .5mm gasket with a 10mm manifold insulator will conduct an amazing 1087 times less heat (yes, that's over 100,000% reduction!). What this basically means is that it becomes very difficult for the engine to heat up the manifold, which ultimately means more power for extended periods (i.e. considerably fewer heat soak issues)! Our composite material also exhibits high stiffness and compressive strength, can withstand temperatures up to nearly 150°C, and has a thermal expansion coefficient very similar to aluminum to increase sealing capabilities. In addition, the spacer can also withstand boosted conditions with ease. So what's included in the auction? Included in the auction is a 12mm thick manifold insulator, longer manifold bolts and gasket sealer. What about Installation? Installation is straight forward, requiring only the removal of your upper manifold to install the manifold insulator as shown below. Lexus sales rising strongly in Europe – up 33 per cent in Western Europe

Lexus are reporting soaring sales in Europe so far in 2014, with sales up by 25.4 per cent over the same period in 2013 (and by 33 per cent in Western Europe) and the Lexus IS leading the way. Lexus IS sales were up to 6,923, followed by the Lexus RX SUV and the compact Lexus CT, with even the massively expensive Lexus LS chipping in 265 sales in the first six months of the year.

Starting Wednesday, the reports are available on all vehicles sold in eBay auction and classified formats, as well as for vehicles sold by dealers or by private parties, said Nicolas Franchet, senior director of U.S. vehicles at eBay Motors.
